ICAEW and TMF Vietnam cooperate to develop high-quality human resources

This MoU, when implemented, will bring multiple benefits and career development opportunities for TMF Vietnam’s employees. ICAEW will offer scholarship schemes for TMF’s employees when they pursue the Chartered Accountant designation (ICAEW ACA), while TMF Vietnam will encourage and create the most favorable conditions in terms of time for learning, practice and sitting exams for their employees who study ICAEW ACA program.

In addition, the two parties will jointly organize professional development and soft skills training events to update professional knowledge and develop comprehensive technical skills in the field of finance, accounting and business for TMF Vietnam’s employees. With a partnership network of more than 20 leading economics and finance universities in Vietnam, ICAEW will also effectively support TMF in promotion and talent recruitment activities.

"The shortage of highly qualified human resources is one of the challenges for accounting and financial services. The plan and roadmap for the application of IFRSs have been issued and are being implemented. One of the top priorities is to build and develop human resources. ICAEW is pleased to cooperate with TMF Vietnam - one of the world's leading providers of accounting and financial services - to facilitate the process of training personnel to meet professional and capacity requirements in accordance international standards, so they can meet the new demands of the domestic financial market", said Ms. Dang Thi Mai Trang, Head of Vietnam, ICAEW at the event.

After the signing ceremony, ICAEW will organize the first Accounting course at TMF Vietnam with the participation of 20 employees from different departments. This course will provide learners with the basic accounting knowledge and skills according to IFRS. In the context where having qualified personnel to implement IFRSs is a hot issue in Vietnam, this subject has been selected as the first learning module by TMF Vietnam’s employees. Some ICAEW students are currently TMF Vietnam’s employees.
