Hoi An named among top 10 world’s most trending destinations: The Travel

The ancient city of Hoi An ranks 9th on the list of top 10 trending destinations in the world, according to The Travel, a well-known travel site in Canada.

In its article, The Travel noted that unlike other cities like Ho Chi Minh City or Ha Noi, Hoi An is a bit smaller and boasts an incredible 18th-century charm.

"It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has plenty of pagodas and well-preserved shophouses in its Old Town. Hoi An has a rich history, a bustling arts scene, deliciously good, great beach life, and a nightlife not to miss. The city is always worth visiting", it highlighted.

The travel site recommends top places to explore in Hoi An such as Japanese Bridge, the old streets, the Quan Cong Pagoda Temple, and Hoi An Market.

"Da Nang is an impressive city that's located only 30 minutes away from Hoi An. There are plenty of things to see in Da Nang, including some of Viet Nam's most pristine beaches, the Dragon Bridge, and the food", suggested The Travel.

Earlier, Hoi An was listed among the 25 most beautiful cities in the world by Travel + Leisure.

It is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a small-scale trading port active the 15th to 19th centuries which traded widely, both with the countries of Southeast and East Asia and with the rest of the world.

The town comprises a well-preserved complex of 1,107 timber frame buildings, with brick or wooden walls, which include architectural monuments, commercial and domestic vernacular structures, notably an open market and a ferry quay, and religious buildings such as pagodas and family cult houses.

The houses are tiled and the wooden components are carved with traditional motifs.

Viet Nam welcomed nearly 3.7 million foreign tourists in the first four months of 2023, according to the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

This year, Viet Nam targets to welcome 110 million tourists, including 8 million foreigners, and earn around VND 650 trillion in tourism revenue./.
