Bac Ninh attracts over USD 2.73 billion in FDI in first 7 months of 2026

Despite global economic volatility, Bac Ninh province continues to affirm its position as an attractive destination for foreign investors. In the first seven months of 2026, the province attracted over USD 2.73 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), ranking fourth nationwide in FDI attraction.

In the first seven months of 2026, Bac Ninh province attracts USD13.85 billion in converted investment capital.
Since the beginning of July 2026, the province has attracted USD4.0 billion in converted investment capital; this includes the licensing of 33 new FDI projects with a total capital of USD 404.3 million and capital adjustments for 20 existing FDI projects, adding USD 91.9 million in capital. Overall, for the first seven months of 2026, the province attracted USD13.85 billion in converted investment capital (comprising both DDI and FDI projects). Specifically regarding the FDI sector, 210 new projects were licensed with a total registered capital exceeding USD1 billion, while 169 projects underwent capital adjustments, adding USD 1.7 billion in registered capital.
FDI capital continues to flow strongly into the processing and manufacturing industries, focusing on projects producing electronic components, semiconductor equipment, and high-tech products. Consequently, the province's industrial production has maintained positive growth momentum; the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for July 2026 rose by 20.61% year-on-year, with a 19.6% increase recorded over the seven-month period. Industrial production value (at current prices) for the first seven months is estimated at VND 1.9 quadrillion, a year-on-year increase of 16.32%. Import-export activities also saw a significant surge, with a seven-month turnover estimated at USD 128.2 billion—2.68 times the figure from the same period last year—of which exports accounted for USD 62.7 billion (up 29%).
